Rockford's Got Talent is recruiting performers with acts of all kinds. To audition, record your 3–minute performance and upload it to your YouTube or Vimeo account. Then, complete the Talent Audition Form below, agree to the contest rules and regulations, and link your uploaded video. Deadline for entering is midnight December 4, 2023.
Monday, December 4, 2023--Audition submission deadline
Friday, February 2, 2024 | 6 to 9PM--Rehearsal at Rockford High School Auditorium
Saturday, February 3, 2024 | 7PM to 9PM--Rockford's Got Talent Event at Rockford Highschool Auditorium
ROCKFORD'S GOT TALENT RULES AND TERMS OF COMPETITION
Entries must be received by 11:59 pm December 4, 2023.
Finalists will be announced no later than December 15, 2023.
Decisions of the judges are final and cannot be appealed.
Performance length is 3 minutes. No inappropriate language or offensive content is permitted. This can include profanity, suggestive dialogue, inappropriate dress, racially or culturally insensitive slurs or any material or activity deemed inappropriate to the judges. Acts should be appropriate for children 8+.
Acts can be from any location, however, acts with a connection to the greater Rockford area will take precedent and judges selection is final.
Acts will be judged on a rubric that takes into consideration "Originality," "Performance," "Presentation'" "Uniqueness," "Audience Reaction," “It Factor."
All acts compete for both a judges award and a people’s choice award. An act may win in either or both categories.
By submitting the application, your act and all performers give Rockford’s Got Talent permission to use group and individual information, history, biography and photography in any and all show publicity, in playbills, on web and social media pages, in promotion and publicity without remuneration of any sort.
Youth acts must have written permission from parents or guardians of all children under the age of 18 available to forward to Rockford’s Got Talent upon request.
